Claw games are a big deal. We stepped into a claw game arcade to check it out. Each try costs 100 yen (US 70 cents). You can grab anything from a big stuffed animal to a package of cookies to a transformer car. Yeah, I was tempted to try but..oh well I have no excuse. Some were set up as two player games. Maybe the one who gets their prize first wins something?

Below. This looked like an old theater (it wasn’t )And nextdoor, maybe karaoke.

The weather turned nice yesterday. We finally made it up to the rooftop terrace. Got a nice (distant) view of the Japanese alps.

In case you need recycling instructions.

Another sign. I won’t keep you guessing. it’s a campaign for using your car’s high beams.

Another stop since but attached to a sign without a cartoon character. But with a bowler hat?

Whatever kind of knife you need or just want.

Seriously? Who’s that skinny?

The roofing is fabulous

Mail delivery by motorcycle. Wish I’d caught a pic of the postman. These guys don’t stroll. They rush, they jog.

Japanese donut from Mister Donut. That’s matcha icing. It’s closer to a pastry than an American donut.

A sweet wrapped in a leaf. Unwrap…it’s a doughy blob (gluten I think) with red bean paste filling.

A rice cooker comes with every apartment.

The guy in the blue sign isn’t wearing a bowler. More like a pork pie or Heisenberg hat from B Bad. Great pics from Kanazawa.
I clearly don’t know one hat from another. My hat know, edge is top hat or bowler.
