As mentioned, we’ve arrived in Antwerp. I was here in 2016 on my own and stayed a week. Back then, I stayed in the Jewish quarter, mostly Hasidic. This time we have a spacious apartment in what’s known as the theater area.
Our apartments in Brussels and Ghent were fine but both lacked comfortable seating. Brussels had a sofa but it wasn’t so comfortable. Ghent just had some easy chairs which I couldn’t get comfortable in. Oh whine, whine, whine. Anyway, on this big beautiful sofa in Antwerp, I just want to sit here and stare out the window where clouds are amassing for a possible storm tonight.

OMG what a sofa. What a place!
And there’s an espresso machine for Grubb!
Looks like a beautiful view from the sofa. Go hither, sit, enjoy and stare to your hearts desire!
The rest of the street isn’t that picturesque but we are on the 6th floor right across from the church.
Okay. We want details. Do you sit on your sofa and dictate into your phones when you block? Or do you type into your phone? Charlie and I were just reflecting that a sofa would not work for us for blogging because we both like sitting at a table. I use a Bluetooth keyboard so need a flat surface. Charlie types into his iPad. But still, wow, that’s the greatest as airbnb sofa ever. Well, once we had one with electronically controlled recliners on each end. That was pretty cool.
Grubb has a keyboard with his iPad but is happy to have it in his lap. I just type into my iPad with it on my lap. But, also there is a huge oval dining room table with nicely padded chairs so I may switch back and forth.
Hi E & G! There’s nothing like sitting and looking out at something and letting that soak in and you are in a beautiful place to do it. I can actually do it for hours. Did it 2 weekends ago in Abiquiu staring at the Pedernal. The Antwerp apartment looks lovely.
Abiquiu. What a beautiful area!
