Once we had taken in the large warships in the Marine Museum (the size of the oars, the image of being in the galley rowing—yikes), it seemed like we should cruise the bay in a catamaran. Get refreshed by the sea breeze, gaze at the splendor of the city sweeping by.
Looking down from the upper deck over the people leaning forward on the bow I could only envy how wonderful it was to be young and have an easy sense of balance.
There were a couple of openings in the hull covered by a rope net for youngsters to lie on as the water rushed by underneath.
The weather was calm and sunny and it was Sunday so there were a lot of sailboats out.
At one point we scooted by a boat that tipped over.
The two men in the water trying to right the boat realized that they were now performing for an audience.
