Another saunter through the Botanical gardens this morning. The picturesque way to get to the riverfront where we planned to find the Museu da Agua.
Not easy to find this little building, probably originally nothing more than a pump house. It was tucked away in the corner of a park that was closed for renovations.
We expected the museum to be about water, given its name. Delightfully, the place has been converted to an art gallery and a one woman show was just opening.
Elizabeth Leite, new to me, I was taken with her style. This exhibition is entitled Silence! A frog dives into itself. If that isn’t a Zen riddle…or maybe just a weird translation from Portuguese. I don’t know about the frog but her color palette certainly is anything but silent.
