The pair of Satsuma-ware vases (photo below)are an exact replica of the set presented to Nicholas II, the last Emperor of Russia, by the 29th head of the Shimadzu family, Tadayoshi in 1896. The originals were made by the 12th generation Chin Jukan, and these replicas were made by his great-grandson, the 15th generation Chin Jukan in 2018. Yikes. That takes carrying on the family business to extremes.
That volcano is amazing. I guess people are mostly unworried about it? That shelter in your previous post didn’t look too substantial.

The shelter was concrete but I wondered whether it would withstand being hit by molten lava. I guess you get used to living with big earth events here. All over we’ve seen tsunami evacuation and earthquake evacuation route signs. Now eruption safe shelters.
