There are often questions on Jeopardy about the Japanese Islands. I cannot name a single one. I always wish I knew them but have never stopped to learn them. Maybe after this trip you guys will know them. And of course you’ll have a much deeper sense about what they are like.
Japan has over 14,000 islands so it’s no wonder none of us has ever learned them all 😂. But four main ones. Hokkaido, Honshu, Kyushu, and Shikoku. Honshu is the one people know best because Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima are on Honshu. You might know Hokkaido from its city of Sapporo where 1972 Winter Olympics were held.
