Every regular hotel room we’ve stayed in comes with some version of these signs (photo below) on the back of the door. There is also often a small control panel in the wall next to the door with a button to push if you want the room fully cleaned. It turns on a tiny green light on the wall just outside the door.
The Safety sign is a new one to me. I am afraid to inquire what sort of emergency triggers the need for these signs. I did google and AI suggested it may have to do with domestic abuse situations.
Anyone else seen similar signs on hotel doors?
First thing comes to my mind is that the room has been cleaned and sanitized and ready to use. Hence: the word SAFE.
