Dinner had us stumped. There wasn’t much out in the Odaiba area which was our last destination. We opted to start the journey back home. We had to take a train to Shiodome and then transfer to the Oeida subway.
At Shiodome station, we decided to ask Google what was in the area for food. Google showed us a cluster of places to eat about a 10 minute walk from the station. Golly gee whiz, we’d stumbled onto a mini-Korea town.
We entered a tiny place (5 tables). Menus in Japanese only so we started the tedious process of translating with Google lens when the main guy handed us his phone with the menu in English on it. A lot of Wagyu beef on offer. Wagyu being a breed of Japanese cow.

I ordered seared Wagyu beef with green onions in Ponzu sauce. Grubb got a loin steak with garlic butter. All cooked at the table. I also ordered a side of assorted kimchi. Super delicious, all of it.

It was still pretty early when we finished so we decided to roam the area.

I would have guessed in Japan that they would have had QR codes at the tables for an English menu since the guy had it on his phone.
They did have a QR code but it was so slow loading on my phone, we gave up. Usually, all things here – web and cell – are zippity fast. Everywhere.
Hope your trip home goes smoothly, really enjoyed getting to know Japan. Can’t wait to see where you venture to next!!
