Next up: San Juan Islands

A reunion with three old university roommates in the San Juan Islands of the Pacific Northwest (U.S). June 7 through June 14.

Margaret, Claudia and I shared an apartment in Berkeley in 1970-1971. Nancy and I have known each other since the 4th grade when we were in Campfire Girls together. The last time the four of us were together was 2011 when we spent 5 days in the Bay area together.

Claudia lives in the Oakland hills, Margaret is from the Baltimore area, Nancy from Los Angeles and I am the southwest gal from New Mexico.

Now, eleven years after our first and only reunion thus far, we are meeting in Seattle, renting a car and heading north to Anacortes. There, we board a ferry bound for San Juan Island. We have rented a house at the north end of the island. An area called Roche Harbor.

I am looking forward to long conversations with old friends and explorations of the small island located within spitting distance from Canada.
