Breakfast, I guess it happens everyday but for someone who doesn’t usually eat this morning meal, I’ve been chowing down. I’ll spare you the details today but here are a couple of photos of our view whilest dining.
The Riad manager spent some time with us after breakfast helping to organize our day. We wanted a relaxed day without a guide or an agenda. We just needed to wander and be sure of finding our way back to the Riad through the Medina. She marked the botanical gardens, which is just outside the walls, along with the location of an ATM for a necessary cash infusion. She also gave us directions to the Blue gate exit. Three lefts. Turned out to be 3 lefts, then a right and a left but we got there.
We wondered through the gardens and a few blocks around to view life outside the Medina. Stopped for Moroccan tea just outside the Medina before plunging back into the noisy, crowded shuffle and successfully navigated our way back to the Riad.
Tomorrow (Wednesday), the train to Marrakech.
