Great views. Great location, mostly.
Self check in. No keys required. The front door of the apartment building is opened with an app called UnLoc. Our host, Paul, sent us the digital key. When you are at the door, open the app, it finds the right digital key and then you tap Open. Now into the lift and up to the 7th floor. The apartment is accessed by a key pad at the door.
The apartment was hot and stuffy when we arrived. Two windows near the kitchen were in the vent position. The others, closed tight. Took me awhile to figure out how to open them. You pull down on the release bar at the top.
We need to get used to the sloping walls. There have been a couple of head conks.
There is a washing machine in the bathroom. It’s time to refresh our clothes.
The hard part was noise. Yep, Saturday night on the waterfront was rockin’. Hoping for quieter nights ahead. The windows did a reasonable job of muffling but, see above, too hot to close them. By this morning though, the cool outside air had the apartment feeling quite pleasant.
High speed internet, soap dispensers that dispense by sensor, bathroom trash bin that opens with a sensor, a big screen that pulls down from the ceiling where you can project from your iPad or phone. Hey, we should have watched Eurovision on it last night.
Happy Happy Mother’s Day. Great to have arrived in Norway and Frognar Park. My Day has been quiet so far but will liven up on Wednesday. Seems that Bill is driving! Hope he’ll arrive safely.
