Best artist of the day…Mark Bradford. An L.A. based contemporary artist seen at the Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Serralves in Porto. My personal favorite: Fire Fire painted in 2021. And an untitled one painted at the beginning of 2020 that should have been called Covid, Covid.
Best garden trowel of the week.
Best Tree top walk of the month in the 18 acre park where the Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Serralves is located.
Best coffee of the…year, decade, century? Delta brewed cappuccino at a Delta café. Heard about this coffee from Charlie and Wynette who have just returned from a Spanish Camino walk. They were served Delta coffee and raved. Turns out, Delta is a coffee roaster based in Portugal. And of course, you can buy the beans on Amazon! We are now raving. So mellow but punched with flavors.
The weather? After a morning sprinkle…it was another perfect day. Brilliant blue skies dotted with wisps of fluffy white. Tomorrow I may venture out in short sleeves.
Then there is today’s meal. A picnic from the mini mart. Sardines, fresh sliced tomato, bread, olives, sheep’s cheese and goat’s cheese with chives.
Ice cream: a double scoop – Nutella and passion fruit. For Grubb: also a double scoop – lime-ginger and mango-strawberry.
As an extra activity, we used the small washing machine in the apartment to do a small load. Aren’t we something?
Oh, I’m so glad you liked the Delta coffee — and found a place that prepares it well!
Why doesn’t every bar in Portugal and Spain use it???
No kidding! All our coffee has been great so far so maybe it’s all been Delta. This is just the first place that advertised it.
I wish Delta sold green coffee.
