Good thing I made a pit stop at the 5 star bathroom before we went searching for the Avis counter, purportedly said to be in the airport confines. Signs directed us to a Skywalk, up the escalator, straight over two main streets and a parking lot…a half mile later we turned a corner to find an array of rental car offices. Seriously, does this count as being “at the airport”?
In short order we were installed in a Nissan Rogue and on our way to the Cape. I had to look this up but some of you probably know…the cape has 4 areas: the Outer which is the piece that runs north/south, and the Upper, Mid and Lower on the part of the cape that runs east/west.
West Barnstable, our destination, is on the northern side of the mid section. Not a lot of traffic and 90 minutes later we were sipping wine, spreading Smoked Bluefish with a Kick and Howie’s Cheese on crackers. and having a warm and cozy catch up with cousins Barry and Deirdre.
Nissan Rogues are the best! You got a great car to travel. We’ve leased four in total before switching to Subaru.
Cape is gorgeous this time of year. Somewhat slower traffic and less people. Enjoy your time there. Hi to Barry and Deirdre and your other Sitkin cousins!!
