I am still feeling the effects. Yow! A fabulous dinner of boiled lobster. Grubb and I were tutored in the finer points of lobster dismantling by Helen and Irwin. Scooping out the body meat, prying off the claws and floaters and fishing out the thin strips with a lobster fork, dropping the bits and chunks into a ramekin of melted butter and eating those delectable bits. The large empty wooden bowl in the middle of the table was brimming with lobster remains by the time we were done.
No, of course not JUST lobster. We began with a healthy salad, before we moved on to the lobster accompanied by Judi’s homemade cornbread (slather with butter as desired) and stuffing (Helen’s special, made of Ritz crackers, lots of melted butter, sherry, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper), followed by a dessert of gluten free chocolate mousse cake. I feel like I don’t need any more calories for at least a month.
Yikes!!!This will be a hard act to follow :>)
