Thank you Connecticut cousins, Sharen and Tom

Once again we owe a hearty thanks to kin. So thank you Sharen and Tom, our Connecticut cousins, for showing us so much. The Mark Twain house, Gillette’s Castle and all mom’s old haunts. We very much appreciated your generosity of time and opening your home to us. And thanks to Ben (the pup) for sharing you with us.

    Ella and Grubb —

It was a true pleasure to host this part of your New England journey. I loved exploring Aunt Gussie’s old haunting grounds and going to Mark Twain House and Gillette Castle. But most of all, I enjoyed having you stay with us for the couple days. Our conversations, laughter, memories, etc. will stay with me and be treasured. Ben really took a shine to both of you! I hope you get a true look at the splendor and beauty of leaf peeping throughout the rest of your journey!!!💖

Thank you Sharen and Tom for being such wonderful hosts to Ella and Grubb AND searching for remnants of my past.
I thought the monolith rock might have been the one as it seemed there was a lot of digging around it making it look like someone was trying to blow it up.
    Anyhow I appreciated the attempt.
The house seems to be standing, perhaps because it was well built.
The grounds have returned to nature as they must.
Thanks again for your spending time with Ella and Grubb.
