Although no tequila was involved, I awoke this morning to a goldenrod glow seeping through the blinds. I rolled gracefully out of bed and stepped onto our balcony to soak in the early morning caw-croaking of ravens while goldenrod and purple turned to orange.
We are in Greenville (we arrived yesterday late afternoon) and are situated in a condo at the south end of Moosehead Lake, the largest lake in Maine. Our balcony abuts the 6th hole of a golf course. And by “abut” I mean the green is 6 ft from the edge of our balcony. Beyond the green is the lake. Quite comfortable.
Last night, we feasted at Kelly’s Landing, just a mile down the road. No food pics but I had the pan-seared scallops with garlic mashed potatoes and Grubb had lobster pie. All delicious.
