We’ve been passing a nursery the last couple of days on our way to and from Manchester. We are staying in Sunderland which is just 6 miles down the road. The nursery has a splashy lawn decked out with straw-stuffed mannequins celebrating Fall and Halloween. Today, we stopped. There was a whole lot of activity going on.
You could pick pumpkins (well pick them up because they were no longer part of their plant), buy freshly made donuts, take a wagon ride, walk a corn maze.
In past blogs, Grubb has referred to himself as the master of misdirection. For good reason. When we decided to attempt the corn maze, no way I’d let him lead. I forged my own path. Oh the perils…
Will I ever get outta here?
You won’t need that wool cap and heavy jacket just yet in Albuquerque. They are predicting highs in the low 80s, ten degrees above normal.
Tomorrow we fly to L.A. where it will be 87°.
