Here we go. We arrived in Buenos Aires this morning. We will be here about a week then toddling on and around until May 2. Our route is below. A little crazy zig-zaggy but hey, it all made sense when we were planning it. Sizzling carne a la parilla, cheesy matambre a la pizza, sweet dulce de leche, passionate tango, fruity Malbec, huge glaciers, stunning peaks, vast open spaces. and whatever else we might discover. This will be our first South American trip. Nuestra española no es tan buena pero estamos tratando de aprender.

Looks like a great trip. I could go for that carne right now. Look forward to following you! Stay well.
We settled on some empanadas tonight from a storefront down the street. They were good. Wish we had your Spanish with us!
💖💥🎉 Fatastic!!!!!

tu español es excelente
Hi Ella — My daughter, Mira Barakat, is in Buenos Aires teaching an intensive tango course with her partner. But you could email her and see if she is at a milonga at the evening with her group somehwere in Buenos Aires where you could watch some tango and say Hi to her. Her email is: mirab3@gmail.com I know her program is packed so she couldn’t take you around to sightsee in day, but you could maybe watch a tango event. Let her know where you are staying/neighborhood so she can see how far it is for you. I’ll let her know you might contact her! XOXO I was all over South America, but in 1978! Then we visited Mira in Buenos Aires and Patagonia maybe 10-12 years ago? Loved it all!
Wow! I will email Mira and see what tips she has for seeing tango events. I haven’t seen Mira since she was in high school.
