Next door to the Contemporary Art Museum in Buenos Aires is the Museum of Modern Art. Another pleasant space all low ceilinged and linear. The main exhibit featured lively colored paintings with an environmental theme from the early 1970s.
To think it’s been more than 50 years since we’ve been rattling this cage! Oy. This effort spanning an entire wall was called “Hunter gatherer.”
I don’t mind tripping out to a little Jean-Jacques Rousseau now and then, but I look at these sumptuous depictions of nature and think: Where are the bugs? Still, my heart’s with the Movement. Right on, brother!
Fear not, you’ll find plenty of bugs along the way! Keep on keepin’ on!
