Yesterday on our street art ramble the first mural across the road from where we met up with our guide featured a friend of mine from Albuquerque on an elongated skateboard. He’s the face in the middle with a bird on his tongue.
The cherubic putto figure in the left with the helmet and mischievous smile has a bird covering his genitals at the request of the woman who lives in an apartment across the street.
As Ella has indicated, there was a plague of mosquitoes in the neighborhood. On the other hand, the quiet streets were peaceful, and the small houses with their painted figures gave the impression of an artist colony quartered away in an immense city.
One house that I took pleasure had a facade of electronic gadgets that were a memorial to planned obsolescence.
I had to explain to our guide how camcorders used to work involving tiny reels of tape. Ella cut me off before I got lost wandering down memory lane.
Love the “gadget house.” Inventive & creative-H
