Yesterday (Tuesday, by our reckoning). Travel day. Early flight (I’ve dubbed it the “wine flight”) from Mendoza to Buenos Aires, cab to the ferry port, ferry to Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay.
And we had the dubious pleasure of being accompanied by a soccer team from San Lorenzo, often breaking into spontaneous chanting. I have a video, I’ll post later.
New country, new currency, same language…sort of.
The Uruguayan peso is worth 2.6 cents. US $1.00 buys you 38.47 UYU.
We bought a small bottle of Agua con gas for 74 pesos = US $1.92.
