What I didn’t know (thanks for the tip David) is that Kanazawa is noted for gold leaf production.
Want to try your hand? For a price you can apply a sheet of gold leaf to a trinket and take home your handiwork. Or have a soft serve ice cream with a strip of edible gold leaf attached. Totally tasteless but I guess that’s not the point.

Does it break up into little pieces or kind of dissolve. I.e., crunchy or soft?
So soft and thin you can’t really distinguish it from the ice cream. Just kind of melts in as you eat it.
