Salt marshes

Posted on September 23, 2023 by Ella

And just like that, the first week of our travels is in the bag. We flew in just missing Hurricane Lee, or rather Hurricane Lee just missed the Cape, and today we rode the edge of Tropical Storm Ophelia as we made our way to Connecticut.

Meanwhile, yesterday was another beautiful day on the Cape. Marc and Judi took us to the far north fist of the Cape, Provincetown, aka P-Town.

Before hitting the pavements of the quirky, boutique-shop lined, tourist packed streets of P-Town, we stopped for a lovely stroll at Fort Hill, a system of salt marshes abutting the Atlantic. Pilgrims settled here in the mid 1600s but the Wampanoag had been here for centuries. There is no Fort and whether it qualifies as a hill…well…but it was a beautiful walk.

P-town was interesting. I hope to hear of your P-town memories some time.
